The Truck
manufacturers need to sell you vehicles, that's their business. Each Truck
maker has product planned obsolescence built into their business plan.
They won't tell you about or recommend AMSOIL synthetic oil because your
Truck engine would last twice as long, that's not in their business
interest! Also they make a tremendous profit on the 10 cent OEM oil that
they sell (that's what it costs to manufacture). This OEM oil provides two
functions, it keeps your Truck on their planned schedule for repairs and
wearout and it adds a tremendously profitable add-on sale. So recommending
AMSOIL synthetic oil that would make your Truck last longer and reduce
their oil sales would be counter productive to their business plan.
INDEPENDENT LAB TESTS
SHOW THAT AMSOIL'S SERIES 3000 5W-30 DIESEL OIL GIVES 82% BETTER ENGINE
PROTECTION THAN OTHER COMPARABLE OILS! COMPARISON BETWEEN AMSOIL'S SERIES
3000 5W-30 DIESEL OIL AND OTHER OILS........
On road
experience shows that conventional SAE XW-40 oils degrade within only
5,000 miles
of
operation! AMSOIL'S new Series 3000 5W-30 is designed for extended drain
intervals and DO NOT lose viscosity like other oils. Series 3000 surpasses
the API Energy Conserving Rating requirements and provides significant
fuel savings, with significant oil savings in oil makeup for over-the
-road service! Series 3000's extremely low volatility (7.8% Noack)
demonstrates the oil's ability to withstand high temperature without
losing viscosity.
TRUCKERS WILL GET EXCITED ABOUT THIS OIL, IT'S 20 YEARS AHEAD OF OTHER
OILS!!
Know the facts! AMSOIL
will save you money.
AMSOIL
and a midwest fleet have been conducting a joint demonstration since Jan.
1996 comparing Series 3000 Synthetic 5w-30 Heavy Duty Diesel
Oil to a popular 15W-40. Over the road testing is bearing out what we've
known all along: Series 3000 is superior!!
After a winter of record-breaking cold temps, a late spring and summer,
the 1996 Kenworth trucks with Cummins N-14 engines participating in the
AMSOIL Series 3000 fleet demonstration are approaching 80,000 miles or the
one third mark in the 250,000 mile study and Series 3000 is looking good
SERVICE LIFE AND PROTECTION.
The
five
demo vehicles, which are running with Series 3000, a high quality after
market full-flow oil filter and an AMSOIL By-Pass Filter, have received no
oil or by-pass oil filter changes to date (9-96) Full-flow filters have
been changed as necessary. Oil will be drained according to the findings
of used oil analysis. All vehicles used in the demonstration kept the
original manufacturer's oil until the first 20,000 mile oil change. At
that time the AMSOIL Series 3000 was added. The five control vehicles,
running with a top-quality national brand petroleum product and the same
make high quality full-flow oil filter as that in the test vehicles, have
received four installations of new oil and filters. Oil drain intervals
are set at 20,000 miles.
Oil analysis shows the Series 3000 in all test vehicles is fit for ongoing
service, with a large safety margin between its performance after 80,000
miles and study contamination limits. In fact, at a drain interval now
four times that of the control oil, Series 3000 shows superior overall
performance. Even though AMSOIL Series 3000 has gone four times the
mileage and oil analysis shows that there is less wear metals in the oil
(after 80,000 miles), soot and solid accumulation per mile is lower, there
is no viscosity breakdown in the Series 3000! Fleet personnel have noticed
that oil consumption is lower in the Series 3000 vehicles. AMSOIL SAVES
MONEY!

Fifth Wheel and
Open Gear Compound
AMSOIL Fifth Wheel and Open Gear Compound is based on proprietary
technology
that does not use asphaltic materials, residual compounded oils or diluent
solvents as part of the lubricant formulation. It provides excellent
adhesion to surfaces, resistance to water washout and protection against
rust, corrosion, and wear. Virtually eliminates common deficiencies of
residual oils and asphaltic compounds such as narrow operating temperature
range, flaking, poor adhesion, water washout and environmental concerns.
It is an aerosol spray product, making application quick, easy, neat and
economical. Product Code: GFW
Performance Features:
Excellent resistance to water washout
Environmentally preferable to solvent-containing formulations
Protects ferrous surfaces from rust
Excellent adhesion to metal surfaces
Forms a tacky, tenacious film
Heavy load-carrying and extreme-pressure performance
Stays pliable at cold temperatures and does not flake off
Series 2000
Synthetic Gear Lubes
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic Gear Lubes are race-proven extreme pressure
lubricant engineered to meet the severe high-load and high-temperature
demands of contemporary race and commercial vehicle differentials and
gear-lube equipped transmissions. They provide the superior friction, heat
and load control demanded by race drivers, the superior fuel economy
required by commercial vehicle operators and the superior performance
sought by all motorists.
Friction Reduction and Fuel Economy
AMSOIL
Series 2000 Synthetic Gear Lubes offer exceptionally low coefficients of
friction for superior power transfer, heat control and fuel economy.
High Load and Extreme Pressure Performance
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic Gear Lubes promote long life for gears,
including those subject to high loads and severe service. The superior
film strength of their synthetic basestocks ensures protection from wear
for gears operating with full-film lubrication. Top-quality extreme
pressure agents ensure protection from wear for gears operating without
full-film lubrication.
High Temperature Performance
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic Gear Lubes offer the thermal stability and
durability, oxidation resistance and shear stability required for optimal
protection in the hot environments in which race and commercial vehicle
gears operate. Thermal stability and oxidation resistance keep gears and
seals clean by inhibiting the heat-induced formation of sludge and
deposits. Thermal durability protects gears from physical damage by
preventing heat-induced failure of anti-wear chemistry. Shear stability
helps prevent metal-to-metal contact and wear in high-temperature
operations.
Low Temperature Protection
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic Gear Lubes are ideally suited for low
temperature applications (see graph). Their low temperature fluidity
ensures excellent low temperature performance, protection and fuel
economy.
Seal Compatibility and Rust and Foam Inhibition
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic Gear Lubes form a barrier on gear surfaces
that seals out water to inhibit rust and corrosion. Foam inhibitors ensure
protection in conditions that favor lubricant foaming and consequent
metal-to-metal contact and wear.
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic Gear Lubes have been shown to help seals
perform better and last longer.
